Crochet Amigurami Lord Ganesha Free Pattern

Lord Ganesha is the Hindu God (Deity) who is believed to be the Lord of new beginnings therefore, he is worshipped at the start of all Hindu religious ceremonies.

So in today’s blog I’m gonna share an easy and elegant crochet pattern of Lord Ganesha.It can be worked up in just about any color with your own hands in just a brief amount of your time. They work very well as a decoration around the house to brighten up any room. These can also be used as wonderful homemade gifts for friend and family, they never wilt.

Inc~increase(2 stitches in one)

dec~decrease(2stitches together)

Here I have used two colours (yellow and red) to make this idol,you can use your preference here!

*Head and Body (with yellow yarn):
**You’ll be working on head then the body**

Round 2: 2 sc in each st[12]

Round 3: (sc 1, inc)x6 [18]

Round 4: (sc 2, inc)x6 [24]

Round 5: (sc 3, inc)x6 [30]

Round 7: (sc 5, inc)x6 [42]

Round 8-12: sc around

Round 13: (sc 5, dec)x6 [36]

Round 14: (sc 4, dec)x6 [30]

Round 15: (sc 3, dec)x6 [24]

Round 16: (sc 2, dec)x6 [18]

Round 17: (sc 1, dec)x6 [12]

Round 18: dec x6 [6]

Round 19: sc in each[6]

Round 20: 2sc in each st [12]

Arms (make 2) with yellow:

Round 6: dec,dec,1sc in next stitches [7]

Round 7to Round 16 : sc in each stitch [7]

Use wires to flex **stuff here**
Pull tight and leave enough extra yarn to sew to body.

Legs (make 2):
Start with yellow yarn**
Round 1: 6sc in mr [6]

Round 2: 2 sc in each stitch [12]

Round 3 to Round 6: sc in each stitch

**Switch to red**
Round 7 to Round 8: sc in each stitch

Round 9: (sc 1,Inc)×6 [18]

Round 10 to Round 21: sc in each stitch [18]

Round 22:( sc 1, dec)×6 [12]

Round 23: (sc 1,dec)

Pull tight and leave enough extra yarn to sew to body.

Ears (make 2)

Round 1: 6 sc in mr [6]

Round 2: Make 1 ch and reverse the ring
Do 2 sc in each st [12]

Round 3: 2 sc in first 8 sts,1 sc in next 3sts, 2 sc in last st.

Round 4: ( sc 1,Inc)

Round 5 : ( sc 1, Inc)

Round 6: sc in each stitch.

Fasten off and leave enough extra yarn to sew to body.

Trunk **(use wire inside)

Round 1: 6 sc in mr [6]

Round 2: 2 sc in each stitch [12]

Round 3: sc in back loop only [12]

Round 4 to Round 8 : sc in each stitch [12]

Round 9: dec,dec, 8 sc in next stitches [10]
Round 10 to Round 13 : sc in each st [10]

Round 14: dec,dec,6 sc in next stitches [8]

Round 15 to Round 20 : sc in each stitch

**Our the wire and stuff inside**
Pull tight and fasten off the yarn. Make sure to leave extra yarn to sew to body.


Finally you are ready to assemble the body and embroider the trunk with red yarn*
